Quicken 99 The Official Guide
This book is good for basic stuff, but it can also be obtained with the help menus. I wanted a good in depth technical source that I could read with as well as away from the computer. Most of the book is OK in the firsthalf. But, five chapters on non Quicken specifics like how to buyInsurance, How to buy a House and car, how to Invest and plan forretirement and how to save money are not what I bought this book for. Ialready know all that stuff. I wanted a real in depth technical guide,which is what I thought this "Official Guide" would be.

Mismatch - Quicken 99 Guide and Quicken 2000
Perhaps I made mistake thinking I could use the Quicken 99 Guide to help install Quicken 2000.I wish I could be proven wrong as I found the instructions very pedestrian on top of lacking in detail for handling errormessages and how to remove the data from previous versions. Not detailed enough when needed.
As a new user to Quicken, I could figure out enough of the basics using on-line help.When I wanted more detailed info on tracking investments, the book basically mirrored the on-line help. And neither one could give methe answer. Other topics were better though.One thumb down. ... Read more
