I found it clear, concise, easy to understand and follow
Learning Quicken seemed really daunting. But this book made it easy--by covering all the basic financial activities and guiding me literally step by step through each activity.The book is logically organized, andincludes great graphics, summaries, and troubleshooting tips. I highlyrecommend it.

Covers the basics, but not much in depth analysis
I recently purchased Quicken Deluxe 99 and found it to be very difficult to set up anything but the most simple investments.I was hoping this book would explain how to handle more complex investment setups and relatedinvestment tracking, but I was disappointed.It seems to cover the sameareas as the on-line help, but little beyond that. ... Quicken 98 for Macintosh
If you are a just starting to use Quicken 98, this book may get you initally up and running, but will leave you half-way up the financial hill and out out of steam if you are looking for more sophisticated ways ofusing Quicken.As a new user of Quicken Deluxe 98, I found this book to behelpful with the most basic of the basics, but lacking in many of the finerpoints of effectively using Quicken. In the Introduction, Negrino admitsthat he omits sections on Budgeting (which I use a lot), moderate- toheavy-duty Investing, and the Refinance Calculator. Possibly the book wasonly meant for user of Quicken Basic 98 and not of Quicken Deluxe 98 (Ihave the latter.)Read more
