5-0 out of 5 stars All nighter
This book kept me up all night, I couldn't put it down.5-0 out of 5 stars This is THE book for IPOs!
The authors of this book helped me get started in online IPO trading.I followed their steps and am finding huge success with IPOs!On my first trade, I bought 100 shares at $12 and sold at $20.I was pleased with thisprofit, because it was considerably more than I get from other "shortterm" investments.I waited for the right IPO to "freakin'hit!" as the authors say, and hit one that made me over $11,000 profitin about two hours on the first day of trade.I STILL can't believe it! The book clearly details everything you need to know and do to get intotrading IPOs online. If you have more questions, the authors even havetheir own website where you can contact them and get your questionsanswered. They know their stuff! What a great book!

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Analysis/ Instruction for Online IPO Investing

4-0 out of 5 stars Thanks for your help
I can finally see the "picture" on the charts and I am doing much better with my trading.

5-0 out of 5 stars great resource on trading options
Trade Stocks Online was a fantastic book ! I especially loved Larson's stock splitting strategy which helped identify the perfect timing in entering this strategy with leaps. This book will help anyone who has trouble with information overload or who suffers from paralysis analysis when trading options because Mark gives a detailed explanation of his trades. This book facilitated my success and profitability in trading options right away ! thanks Mark!!!!! 5-0 out of 5 stars David Fuller - A Real Trader
Both of Larson's books are well worth the read. His treatment of trading splits is an absolute read for anyone who want to profit from stock splits whether by stock purchase or using the option route.Mark has mastered advance technical analysis, and has an uncanny ability to teach that master. I have met Mark on a few occasions, and he is really one of the good guys.He passionately cares about helping others succeed, and demonstrates that both in his seminars, mentoring program and through his books. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Tough to NAVIGATE!!!!
I have used Turbo Tax since 2002.It is 2006 and I would have thought they would pay more attention to navigation problems. Now I am compelled to say something.Inevitably, each year it is a different problem. They need a QA team.So I tell it to import my info from Fidelity, it seems to run fine.I am pleased.I could not get it to import from another firm, HarrisDirect. So I hit Done so I can enter things manually. Then I get a password for another firm so I try to go back to the import screen but it isn't there. So I hit import from the file menu. Then it puts me in HarrisDirect and will not let me out. When I hit Done, it appears to have lost my Fidelity info.

Shame on Borders for still having this in their store. It is outdated. The concept is great, but all of the suggested websites have been updated. The syntax directives are irrelevant now.

4-0 out of 5 stars Already worth the price
I just cracked open this book five minutes ago. I'm new to the world of SAP and the aggravation the book has spared me has been well worth the price. 3-0 out of 5 stars Not for general SAP - System Administration only
In some places that the book is advertised it is misleading- touting the book as SAP for dummies when actually it is a book on SAP System Administration only.Although it may adequately cover the SystemAdministration (Basis) aspects the book is not helpful for basic SAPfunctionality - I had more luck with "Teach Yourself SAP in 24hours" for general SAP.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Start for a Tough subject
I didn't think it was possible to have a Dummies book for SAP, but it seems that Joey and Jim did it.As an experienced basis admin I read with skepticism, but I truly believe this is a valuable asset for any technicalresource looking to venture into the vast world of SAP.Joey providescomical yet expert commentary that would allow anyone new to this difficultlandscape to get a leg up.Thanks for the enjoyable and educational read. 5-0 out of 5 stars A Damned good read.- Easy but relevant
This is a really good book for someone who wants to learn, and understand with ease the signals to look for and the reasons behind them. Very informative - very easy to read - Not a technical book but an easy book on a technical subject. ... The book seems very relevant to real issues. A very good read for a novice - It takes a complex subject and describes technical methods in easy to understand and digestable formats - the humour makes it more real aswell.5-0 out of 5 stars this is a must read

5-0 out of 5 stars A basic primer packed with insights any Internet user should be aware of
Scams & Swindles: How To Recognize And Avoid Internet Era Rip-Offs is a basic primer packed with insights any Internet user should be aware of. From Nigerian schemes and money laundering to phishing, id theft and investment frauds, Scams & Swindles covers method, purpose, and how to avoid becoming a victim. Mortgage fraud, spam and spyware receive insights too all with an eye to Internet dangers.
4-0 out of 5 stars no technical answer to phishing
The book is a hallmark of our current Internet experiences. The editors go through the various scams circulating on the Web. Like the Nigerian 419. Or the Russian/East European mail order brides. Or the fake prescription drugs. An amazing compendium of the darknet. Some readers may be scared off the net. But more likely, you will gain some protection simply by being aware of the book's advice.
5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent and pragmatic book-advice that should not go unheeded
There is a well-known wise saying, Caveat Emptor, which is the Latin for Buyer Beware. In other words, when purchasing goods or services it is essential that the buyer take all precautions in examining the item or services they are purchasing.

1-0 out of 5 stars Useless for all but beginners
Another mediocre, general-fare, trading 101 (in fact a chapter IS named Technical Analysis 101) book that is pretty much worthless drivel except for all but the most beginning traders. WHY OH WHY can't someone write a book that takes traders, step-by-step through actual, real time trades, comprehensively and methodically via a chrnological type format?? Not this one, for sure. The author is simply filling reams of paper with such general ideas as 'don't trade with your emotions,' 'you can't trade if you're upset,' 'psychology can't be underestimated' 'trade with the trend,' ad nauseum. It is clear, Mr. Borsellino is simply trying to improve HIS bottom line with this book. Don't waste your money. One of the more generous and concise books that has lots in it for all levels of traders is Marcel Linc's book. Also, steer clear of Toni Turner's pablum.3-0 out of 5 stars Introduction to trading
This is exactly as described a how-to book for daytraders. There is a perfunctory rehash of the basics of technical analysis and execution systems. The material here is helpful as a stepping stone if the reader has never been exposed to the material but there is nothing groundbreaking presented. That alone is of interest to me. Here is a trader that has been successful on the floor with little more that a few support and resistance numbers in his head. It is clear from his book that you will make bigger profits if you understand the market, even if you invest little time reading the latest book from newest technical analyst.3-0 out of 5 stars Beginners Only
One of the trading legends of this generation , I'd imagine it might have been painful for Lewis to "talk down" and write the book in this total trading newbie tone.Experienced traders will find little information here of any use.Just very basic TA, bit of overworked trading principles and the customary psychology chapter.I did find one page discussing fair value and premiums to be interesting and there are a few pages going over the economic indicators at the end of the book that might be worth taking notes on.Overall, a decent pick up for a total beginner though useless for any seasoned trader. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars New Direction in Managerial Accounting textbooks
Cunningham et al have added extensive coverage for the role accountants need to play in start-up companies. This is something quite new and exciting to find presented in a managerial accounting textbook. The older textbooks like Horngren were all focused on how you eliminate inefficiences found in the manufacturing process. So what do you do when much of that manufacturing is either contracted out or has moved to China?

1-0 out of 5 stars Sales tool the author's other book just scratching surface of any topic
Of about 200+ books I have bought at amazon.com this is the #1 disappointment for me. I am using QuickBooks more that four years and found this book neither useful nor practical whenever I had any question. Author attempts to address quite few topics, but in fact is just fumbling with about any of them. For example, the attempt to address the Professional services edition in three pages (of large font and large spaces) including one containing the Figure A-15 which is a kind of "The Complete Idiots guide how to open a Window by using menu" is just laughable. Or maybe it suggests "contact me if you want something useful"?
5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely Definitive Guide to Premier Editions
Great book for discussing the advantages of the Premier editions. If you are looking for the basic quickbooks user guide, then you need "Quickbooks 2004, The Official Guide" (which covers Quickbooks Pro & Basic). However, you need this book in addition to "The Official Guide" if you own a Premier edition and you want to get the most out of it.The information on importing in "Chart of Accounts" (and other lists), setting up "Item Assemblies" (complete with assigning additional costs beyond just parts), and "Tips for you industry" are all well worth the cost of the book.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great resource for accountants
This book is filled with information that's practical and useful. As an accountant supporting Quickbooks clients running various editions of the software, I turn to this book all the time. All the tips about managing the various editions of Quickbooks are amazing. Learning how to create customized import files to send to clients has made supporting Quickbooks so much easier. There's information in this book I've tried to get from Intuit for years, but never could. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars My 2 cents...
Here are the things I like about this book:4-0 out of 5 stars A Text Book For Early Adopters
As an avid trader, I am always looking for insight into the market. One of the few writers that offers intelligent objective analysis of the market is Christopher Byron. He is willing to take on a difficult task of scolding companies that have had a high flying record, and that are termed by most as the "Must Have" stocks at the moment. His balanced analysis shows the flaws in the most favored of stocks. 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth the price of admission
This book's list of financial web sites alone was worth the price of admission. Some usual suspects--yahoo, and thestreet.com--and many more that professional investors consult. The newbie investor may be a bit overwhelmed, but if you've graduated to knowing the difference between a market and limit order, you're probably ready and eager to use the Internet to help keep an eye on your money. There's a good appendix of Byron's favorite web sites at the back of the book, so no need to dog-ear the pages when you find Internet gold. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Quicken 2004 Premier home and business
This book DOES NOT COVER anything to do with the Small Business side of the program.I was very disappointed in it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Reference
I needed a reference guide for Quicken 2004. After purchasing the Dummies version, this book is by far the better text. It provides clear, concise information with screen shots for all aspects of Quicken 2004 including items you may not know about. (Records Organizer Household Organizer!) Those were not mentioned in the other text. She gives suggestions for how to set up your files the way that you want. I highly recommend this book whether you are an expert or just beginning. It is well worth the price!

2-0 out of 5 stars pretty shallow even for beginner, look elsewhere
I purchased this book to get detailed info on various aspects of Quicken 2003 practical usage. This book offers merely a description of menus and features - no deeper insight how to tackle more serious challenges, which will inevitably arise in the moment you will create multiple checking & credit card accounts, start to transfer funds in between them, run the reports etc.Read more
